Sun Japanese Dining CHIJMES

Yet another not that great promotion offered by Groupon for Sun Japanese Dining, Craving for sashimi, we decided to buy the Groupon voucher for Sun Japanese Dining. Some years ago I had a rather good dining experience with the outlet at Clarke Quay and was having a rather high expectation this time round.

We reached promptly at 12pm and was ushered in. We then proceeded to order the Sashimi Sushi Set which cost $63. It was a set to serve 3 person and contains 5 types of sahimi.

The presentation was rather nice but for $63 dollars I did not consider it a really great deal.  We then decided to order the Salmon Sashimi Set (consisting of salmon belly, salmon, and flame seared salmon).  However we were informed by the staff that they had run out of salmon belly!  Running out of choices, we then ordered 4 sets of salmon sahimi (5 pieces) which cost $15.

Due to the nature of the Groupon, we could only order from 2 pages of Sashimi.  This was not very flexible and we decided to eat somewhere else more value for money.  The final shock was the bill.  We initially had 2 vouchers which was worth 120.  We had ordered $123 dollars worth of Sashimi and $4 worth of green tea.  We had to top up an additional $30 for service charge and GST!!!!!
